ONE ELDERLY PERSON BURNT TO DEATH WITH HOT WATER IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara, 1 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police recovered a body of an elderly person from near the Sun temple on the bank of the river Sone at Andhari village under Chauri police station in Bhojpur district and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Kariman Chaudhari of Andhari village. Police are investigating the matter.

Kanhaiya Kumar, son of the deceased said that his father Kariman Chaudhary had set out from his house with the son-in-law Prakash of Dehari-on-Sone in Rohtas district at about 6am on May 29, 2023 to go on the site. When he queried Prakash about his father, he said that Kariman Chaudhary had gone to Diyara on work but he did not return till May 31, 2023 evening. The family members searched for him everywhere but in vain. On Thursday morning, his mother and brother once again went to the bank of the river Sone to search his father, they found the body of his father lying on sand and informed the other family members. Kanhaiya Kumar blamed that the son-in-law Prakash along with liquor mafias killed his father with hot water and threw the body on the bank of the river. He added that his father had no enmity with anyone.

SHO Chauri police station Rajanikant said that Kariman Chaudhary had gone with Prakash but did not return and his body was recovered from the river bank and quarrel was said to occur in between them. He said that the family members had not given any written complaint in this regard so far and the police would do something after a written complaint is received.
