NIA RAIDS IN TWO BHOJPUR VILLAGES

ARA (RNI) National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at two places in Bhojpur district since morning today regarding terrorist connection. The officials of the NIA teams refrained to say anything in this regard so far.

Teams of NIA led by DSP and Inspector rank officers conducted raids at houses at Chhatarpura village under Chauri police station and Korandihari village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district since 6 in the morning today regarding terrorsit connection and couterfeit notes. The owners of both the houses are said to be relatives. The NIA teams have taken assistance of local police to maintain law and order during raids in the areas. Father of a supect is a teacher in the Urdu School while father of another suspect works as Tola Sewak. One of the suspects Md. Nehal lives in Delhi while another Md. Waris in languishing in jail in connection with couterfeit notes. This raid is being linked to counterfeit notes racket and terrorist connection.

It may be mentioned here that three businessmen with two lakh counterfeit notes were arrested on September 5, 2024 and the matter of printing of couterfeit of notes in Pakistan had come to light. Md. Saddm, a resident of Ishakchak police station in Bhagalpur, Md. Warsi of Korandihari village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district and Md. Zakir Hussain a resident of Sigodi police station area in Patna district were arrested at that time in this regard and were landed in jail. The police had seized 390 couterfeit notes of 500 demonition, a stolen motorcycle and a black colour bag. During interrogation, Shamsahad had revelaed that he got the Indian counterfeit notes printed in Pakistan via Nepal which were to be scattered in different parts of the country and he had to go to Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu Twai Express train. He also revealed that he had alreaded taken consignment of couterfeit notes to Jammu andn Kashmir thrice. The NIA had grilled the arrested counterfeit notes.
