NEW YEAR CELEBRATED WITH MUCH FUN

ARA-------------------------New year-2024 was celebrated in Bhojpur district with much fun and frolic. As the clock ticked 12, people of every age started wishing their dear ones. In the morning on Monday, the first day of the year, people particularly women wished to start their first day with prayer so they thronged at different temples especially Aranya Devi and Mahavir temples to offer their obeisance and get blessings of God and Goddess.

From early morning, Veer Kuer Singh Park, different hotels and restaurants gardens and river banks, Ramana Maidan and Veer Kuer Singh Park, Bakhorapur Mandir, at the banks of river Sone and Ganga, Veer Kuer Singh Fort at Jagdishpur, Mahathin Dai temple at Bihia, airport at Majhaua in Ara, buzzed with activities of thousands of boys, girls and even elderly people who gathered there for merry-making and enjoying the day as special one. Besides, people also visit Bahiara in Koelwar block which has a palace like construction and a number of ponds and a 100 feet high stup of the English period. Drinking water is supplied to the people from here. Likewise, a waterfall waits people at Padaria and people may enjoy bath sitting on about 125 feet wide terrace of marble. The people also exchanged gifts and greetings with one another to express their happiness and well wishes. Some people also went on picnic with their family members to celebrate the day. Though some obscene scenes were also noticed in some restaurants, park and also on the banks of river. Young boys and girls were seen in objectionable position not caring for others who were present on the site. 

Almost all the temples, hotels, restaurants were decorated tastefully with lights and flowers and balloons. Hotels and restaurants hotels made several lucrative offers and special plans to attract maximum on the eve of the New Year. People enjoyed live orchestra, DJ and cracker show amid lots of fun, frolic and lip-smacking food planned by these hotels and restaurants for the purpose. Even some clubs and organizations organized colourful cultural programme like songs, dances, orchestra and cracker show that wowed the people the whole night.
