Speaking on the occasion, Agricultural Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhojpur, Dr. Praveen Kumar Dwiwedi said that today there is a need to pay special attention to balanced fertilizer management because there is a decline in the quality of most of the food items her. He suggested that in addition to green manure, potash sulfur, farmers should ensure the use of micronutrient, zinc boron in their fields on the basis of soil test and this will improve the growth of plants.

Y P Singh, Deputy General Manager, Patna said that the demand for fertilizers has increased a lot in the country compared to the time of independence. 367 lakh tones of urea is being used in the country while 105 lakh tones of DAP is used. Out of this we are importing 89 lakh tones of urea and about 70% of DAP from the foreign countries. Apart from this, we do not have any option for Potash. Due to improper use of fertilizer, the climate and soil are getting polluted and to solve this, Nano DAP and Nano Urea were discovered and today crores of bottles of fertilizers are used in the country which undoubtedly benefits the environment a lot.

Dr. Sadanand Singh said that as the pollution of our land is increasing, natural and organic farming is better option. In this, we do not use any kind of chemical and we take forward our farming by using much local natural resources as possible like cow dung and urine, gram flour and jiggery as well as juice obtained from vegetable plants. The main objective in this is to increase the number of microorganisms. With their balance, farming becomes better.

Shashi Bhushan Kumar Shashi while discussing climate friendly agriculture, said that today water conservation is a challenge and for this we will have to work on planting our crops the ridges in addition to zero irrigation equipment. By planting crops on the ridges, crop production has increased by 15% to 20%.

Anjani Mishra gave information in the coming times under the name of Bharat Seed, a provision is being made to pay special attention to the production, marketing and quality control of seeds through cooperatives. Its basic objective is to provide quality seeds as well as seeds to the farmers at an average price because good quality seeds of private companies are very expensive which are often a challenge for the farmer to buy them. Finally, at the conclusion of the programme, Shishir Kumar extended vote of thanks to everyone for their valuable contribution.
