Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 29 properties worth about Rs. 2.47 crore of heroin smuggler two brothers Binod Dhanuk and Deepak Dhanuk at Shahpur and Bhagalpur and also apprized all the registration offices so that the no one can sell or purchase the seized properties.

ARA-------------------------Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 29 properties worth about Rs. 2.47 crore of heroin smuggler two brothers Binod Dhanuk and Deepak Dhanuk at Shahpur and Bhagalpur and also apprized all the registration offices so that the no one can sell or purchase the seized properties. The NCB is also looking into other properties. Both the heroin smuggler brothers are languishing in the Ara jail.
NCB sources said that both the brothers Binod Dhanuk and Deepak Dhanuk are languishing in the Ara jail in connection with murder of Vashishth Prasad alias Mantu Sonar husband of Jugnu Devi, chief ward councilor, Shahpur town panchayat. They were granted bail by the Patna High Court but the police filed a petition in the apex court for the cancelation of their bail.
The officials of the NCB said that four cases in Shahpur and Bhagalpur each and two cases under NCB are pending against Vinod Dhanuk and the NCB would inform the Ministry of Home Affairs and the PMO that Vinod Dhanuk and Deepak Dhanuk are involved in heroin smuggling for accumulating properties and they used these properties earned from the heroin smuggling in criminal cases like murder. The officials said if the Ministry of Home Affairs and the PMO nodded both the brothers could not get bail from any court in the country for the next ten years.
It may be mentioned here that a team of NCB had conducted raid in the house of Vinod Dhanuk and Kishun Dhanuk at Shahpur on January 26, 2022 and searched their house with the help of local police station and seized about 250 gram of heroin. The NCB then arrested Vinod Dhanuk, Deepak Dhanuk and Kishun Dhanuk.
Besides, the names of Vinod Dhanuk and Deepak Dhanuk figured in hatching conspiracy from inside the Ara jail and hiring contract killer for the murder of Vashishth Prasad alias Mantu Sonar husband of Jugnu Devi, chief ward councilor of Shahpur Town panchayt on November 28, 2022.
