NAMED FIR FOR MISBEHAVING WITH THE ARA CO, POLICE ARRESTED FOUR PERSONS

ARA------------------------A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against four persons including a young girl in connection with misbehaviour and beating of the Ara Circle Officer cum Magistrate on the written statement of the Revenue Officer, Ara Sadar, Vimal Kumar Gupta. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested four persons in this regard. The arrested persons were identified Awadhesh Kumar’s sons Abhishek Kumar, Prince Kumar, Shagun Kumar and his daughter Sonakshi Kumari of Sheetal Tola Ward No 37 under Ara town police station. The CO cum magistrate had gone near the Bus Stand to remove encroachment on March 26, 2025 when the incident took place.

In a petition, the Revenue Officer, Vimal Kumar Gupta said that to execute the joint order of the Ara Sub-Divisional Office (Confidential) a team under the Circle Officer, Ara cum Magistrate, Pallavi Kumari Gupta, had gone to remove encroachment from Sapana Cinema Mor to Patel Bus Stand. As the team started removing encroachment, some persons of slum area interrupted the work. During demolition of a two storey building constructed illegally on government land, the inhabitant in the house protested and Sonakshi Kumari and Prince Kumar children of Awadhesh Kumar came out of the house and embroiled with the CO Pallavi Kumari Gupta. Other members of the house Abhishek Kumar and Shagun Kumar also came and joined the chorus. They caught the CO by her hairs, tossed her on the road and thrashed her. They also tore her clothes. The matter could be hushed up at that time with the intervention of police.

It is worth mentioning here that in a bizarre incident, a woman magistrate and Ara Circle Officer (CO) Pallavi Kumari Gupta who had gone to remove encroachment from Sapana Cinema Road to Bus Stand under Ara town police station, was attacked by the encroachers. They grabbed CO’s hair, tossed her on the road and thrashed her. They also tore her clothes. They even scuffled with the security guards when they tried to intervene. Despite the CO Pallavi Kumari Gupta did not give up and freed the two storey house from the encroachment by driving away the encroachers.

The Ara CO with police force and bulldozer, to execute the order of the SDO, Ara, went to remove encroachments from Sapana Cinema Mor to Patel Bus Stand. Seeing the bulldozer, the encroachers became agitated and beat her up. People grabbed her hair, tossed her on the road and also tore her clothes. When the security guards came to her rescue, the encroachers scuffled with them. The incident created panic in the area. However, CO Pallavi Gupta did not lose courage. She chased away the encroachers from there. After this, she got the two-storey house demolished and freed the place from encroachment.

There was tension in this area for many days. The encroachers had attacked the JCB on March 22, 2025 and broke it. Despite, the team reached there to remove the encroachment without adequate security force. Sadar CO Pallvi Kumari Gupta was also present on the spot. As soon as the JCB machine started demolishing the two-storey house constructed on the government land in the slum area, some male and female members of the house attacked the CO. They hit the CO, tossed her on the road and tore her clothes. The encroachers also scuffled with the security guards when they came to her rescue. Later some policemen arrived at the spot and forcefully removed the encroachers from there.
