NAMED FIR AGAINST EIGHT PERSONS IN MURDER OF MARRIED WOMAN

Ara, 18 February 2023, (RNI): A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Karnamepur police outpost against eight persons namely Jai Govind Singh, husband of the deceased, Ram Awatar Singh, father-in-law, Jai Shivji Singh alias Sukhal, brother-in-law, Saroj Devi, sister-in-law, Sudha Devi, mother-in-law, Neeraj Singh, Sunil Singh and Golu Singh in connection with murder a married woman at Ishwarpura village on the statement of the deceased Lovely Devi’s father Birendra Singh of Baluahi village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Karnamepur police outpost Manish Kumar said that Lovely Kumari 25 daughter of Birendra Singh of Baluahi village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district was married to Jai Govind Singh alias Bhuteli son of Ram Awatar Singh of Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur police outpost in the year 2020. Since she was tortured physically and mentally merely for a bullet motorcycle and when their demand was not fulfilled, the in-laws killed her and also disposed of the body to erase evidences. Birendra Singh tried to contact his daughter on mobile on February 16, 2023 but her mobile was switched. Meanwhile, the villagers informed him that his daughter was killed. The SHO said that the police searched the body of the deceased everywhere but failed. He added that the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the named accused.
