ARA-----------------------------With the recovery of four live cartridges of 315 calibre from medicine packet, the murder of owner of a medicine store Tez Narayan alias Tunnu took a new turn at Chandi Chowk under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district. Police are investigating the murder case on the basis of scientific method. Meanwhile, a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) found a country made pistol and a blank cartridge from the barrel of the pistol from the incident site during taking finger print. The police will send the pellet found in the skull of the deceased and that of from the incident site to the FSL to tally them.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that this case seems suspicious in the investigation so far. He said that initially due to the blood stain in the neck, it appeared that the murder had been committed by slitting the throat but later the FSL expert team’s investigation and postmortem revealed that the bullet had hit below the neck and was stuck inside the head. He said that during the postmortem, a pellet was found in the head and a country made pistol and some live cartridges were found from the incident site. After the dead body was found in the morning, the suspicious number from which calls were made on the mobile and after going to the shop and talk of murder was also technically investigated. The serial number of the above suspicious number turned out to be in the name of the deceased shopkeeper Tez Narayan alias Tunnu of Farhangpur village. The user of the mobile is said to be the wife or daughter of the deceased and on the basis of the Call Detailed Report (CDR), the reached the house of the deceased and interrogated the wife and the daughter of the deceased. The mobile set with which the SIM was working was also checked and was found broken. Initial inquiry revealed that the shopkeeper himself smashed the mobile on the ground in a rage of anger. Now the question arises if the death occurred due to gunshot inside the medicine shop, how did the body reach the Health Sub-Centre about 25 meters away from the shop. The CCTV camera installed in the medicine shop is not working for a month and the police are expressing the possibility of going to the health Sub-Centre after being shot.
The police said that the residents of Farhangpur under Chandi police station are of the opinion that his relatives allegedly might be involved in the murder but the police is not able to digest the matter of the relatives.
Anmol, son of the deceased said that on October 29, 2023, morning at about 5am, his father received a call from someone asking him to take medicine. After which his father immediately left the house. Chunnu Singh, elder brother of the deceased said that at about 6.10am, women and villagers who were on morning walk, informed about the dead body of Tunnu near the Health Sub-Centre Chandi, which seemed to have been murdered.
Police are also scanning the WhatsApp chats of the mobile of the slain shopkeeper Tunnu. In the WhatsApp chatting, it is revealed that he was talking to a woman.
