MOURNING PROCESSION IN THE NAME OF MARTYRS OF KARBALA TAKEN OUT
On the 7th of Muharram, a mourning procession in the name of the martyrs of Karbala with the name “Mehadi ka Julus” was taken out from Deputy Sher Ali ka Imadmbada situated at Mahadeva Mahajan Toli No 1 towards the late Ahamad Hussain that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at Deputy Sher Ali Imambada. Elaborate security arrangements were made by the Bhojpur district administration to maintain law and order.

ARA--------------------------On the 7th of Muharram, a mourning procession in the name of the martyrs of Karbala with the name “Mehadi ka Julus” was taken out from Deputy Sher Ali ka Imadmbada situated at Mahadeva Mahajan Toli No 1 towards the late Ahamad Hussain that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at Deputy Sher Ali Imambada. Elaborate security arrangements were made by the Bhojpur district administration to maintain law and order.
The tradition of taking out this procession is almost 200 years old. The Muslim brethren recided ‘Nauha’ and mourned remembering the martyrdom of Hazarat Imam Hussain and his 72 companions. People of Shiya community, especially today wear green clothes and mourn this sad event reciting the Nauha and people of all communities also give their full support by participating in the procession in the memory of this sad event.
Sayyad Ali recited Nauha in the procession whose lines are as follows-“Shahe is the mourning of Karbobla, there is the mourning of bekso benawaa’ Sayyad Reyaz Hussain recited Nauha in Bhojpur-“Khaime ke dar par khadi Sakina ro-ro kar karat guhar, ammu saanjh bhayal.”
Sayyad Kazim Hussain, Prof. Sayyad Ezaz Hussain, Sayyad Abid Hussain, Sayyad Shabbir Hassan, Sayyad Akil Haidar, Guddu Ansari, Dadu Korain Raza, Sayyad Kamar Bilgrami, Sayyad Ahamad Abbas, Sayyad Varis Bilgrami, Abrar Haidar, Yawar Hussain, Shadab Hussain, Laddan Ansari, Om Prakash Munna, Muhammad Ekram, Mahfooz Alam, Bir Bahadur and others had important contributions.
