MOTHER TOSSED HER MINOR SON ON THE GROUND AND KILLED HIM

ARA------------------------Mother tossed her minor son and killed him after a quarrel in between husband and wife at platform No 1 at the Ara railway station under Danapur rail division of the East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur. The deceased was identified as Golu Kumar aged about two and half a month and son of Ravinesh Kumar of Nihar Vihar under Nagloi police station of Punjabi Bagh district of Delhi.

Ravinesh Kumar said that his wife Juhi Devi is mentally unsound and so she always quarrels with him. He was coming to his in-laws with his wife and two minor sons at Daulatpur under the Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. On way, his wife started quarreling with him in the train in full public view and his wife also bites his hand. When they boarded down at the Platform No 1 at Ara railway station, she re-started quarreling with him and in a fit of anger, she tossed her minor son on the ground and killed him.

On the other hand, Juhi Devi said that when she was pregnant, her in-laws dragged her out of the house and said to live in a rented house and so she returned to her parents at Daulatpur  and after delivery, she once again went to Delhi to her husband. She refuted the charge of tossing her son to the ground and said instead, she slipped and her son in her lap fell to the ground and was injured. They rushed her to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared the child dead.
