One woman was killed while her son was seriously injured when a speeding auto collided head-on with their motorcycle in between Bakharia and Babhanauli villages under Ara Muffassil police station on Ara-Salempur main road in Bhojpur district when they were returning after having a dip in the holy river Ganga.

ARA----------------------One woman was killed while her son was seriously injured when a speeding auto collided head-on with their motorcycle in between Bakharia and Babhanauli villages under Ara Muffassil police station on Ara-Salempur main road in Bhojpur district when they were returning after having a dip in the holy river Ganga. The deceased was identified as Meena Devi 58 wife of late Thakur Singh of Basantpur village under Ara Muffassil police station and the injured was identified as Roushan Kumar 20 son of the deceased. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there.
The injured Roushan Singh said that he along with his mother had gone to the Mahuli Ghat on a motorcycle to have a dip in the river Ganga. When they were returning after taking bath in the river, a speeding auto-rickshaw collided head-on with the motorcycle in between Bakharia and Babhanauli villages. Both of them fell to the ground and were badly injured. Family members rushed them to the Ara Sadar Hospital where his mother succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
