MOTHER AND SON CRUSHED TO DEATH UNDER THE WHEEL OF A RUNNING TRAIN

ARA (RNI) One Asha worker and her son were crushed to death under the wheel of a running train in between Banahi railway station and Sikaria halt in Bhojpur district under Danapur rail division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur in the morning. The deceased were identified asLal Muni Devi 48 wife of Ayodhya Sharma of Yogiveer villager under Tier police station in Bhojpur district and her son Sujeet Kumar Sharma 27. Lal Muni Devi was an Asha worker and was posted at Community Health Centre at Bihia. Later the GRP recovered the lacerated bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

SHO GRP, Ara, Vimala Devi said that Lal Muni Devi had got a woman of her village operated at CHC, Bihia on February 27, 2024 and she along with her son Sujeet Kumar Sharma was going to catch train to Sikaria Halt from her village to nurse the woman. As they were trying to cross the down track, a train came. Both mother and son escaped and reached on the Up track. Meanwhile, a train at fast speed came on the UP track and both came under the wheel of the train and were crushed to death on spot.
