ARA-------------------------Bhojpur police arrest four named rapists from near Primary School at Zamira under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district and sent them to jail after interrogation and medical examination. Police are conducting raids to arrest other rapists. The arrested rapists were identified as Nami Musahar, Guddu Musahar, Dharmveer Musahar and Akash Musahar of Dhus Musahar Toli at Judge Bazaar under Bihia police station. They had taken shelter at the house of relative of Dharmveer Musahar.

SDPO, Jagdishpur, Rajeev Chandra Singh said that a woman of Mahadalit community was sitting with her husband at the gate of her house under Bihia police station area on October 5, 2024 when about one and half a dozen persons came and started thrashing her husband unprovoked and when she came to her rescue, they also beat her up. Not only this, they took her to a bush nearby where they outraged her modesty one by one. When her husband came to her rescue, the rapists again thrashed him. Meanwhile, the woman fell unconscious. The rapists fled away only some relatives went there. The SDPO said that an FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station against 20 persons including nine named on the statement of the woman on October 6, 2024. After institution of FIR, the SP took the incident seriously, and formed a police team under the SHO Bihia police station Aditya Kumar. The police team following the mobile location, the police arrested four named accused in the matter and police are conducting raids to arrest other accused in this regard.
