MODESTY OF A TEENAGE GIRL OUTRAGED IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA---------------------------Modesty of a teenage girl was outraged at a village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on August 18, 2024 when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature. Police brought the girl to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under 164 CrPC. An FIR was lodged with the police under Krishnagarh police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the rapist.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a teenage girl went to the field in a village under Krishnagarh police station at about 9pm to attend call of nature despite her father forbade her to go out. She went near a dark and secluded place near a temple in the village where a youth was already there. The youth queried the girl as to where she was going. At this the girl scolded him. After which the youth lifted the girl on his shoulders and took her to a garden in the village where she outraged her modesty and escaped from the scene. The girl somehow reached her house and narrated her ordeal. She was bleeding. The family members informed the police regarding the incident. The police admitted the girl to the Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment and medical examination. The family members of the girl along with police went to the house of the youth but no one was there. The police brought the father, brother and sister of the youth to the police station for interrogation though his mother was not at home.
