MISCREANTS TRIED TO KIDNAP A TRADER

ARA (RNI) At least half a dozen armed miscreants tried to kidnap a thread-button trader Raju Khan from near Abarpul locality under Ara town police station but somehow he escaped from their clutches and informed the police.

Pappu Khan, elder brother of Raju Khan said that these miscreants had kidnapped hi on August 25, 2024 and after taking Rs. 7 lakh as ransom, they released him. He lodged an FIR against Belal Miya, Mohammad Mazhar and Ganesh and three others in this regard and these three and three others were also present in the kidnapping of his younger brother Raju Khan. He said that when Raju Khan was going to his shop, at least half a dozen armed miscreants came and two of them caught him by his collar while four were chasing on motorcycle and when they were trying to make Raju Khan sit on the motorcycle, Raju Khan slipped and escaped from the scene.

Pappu Khan said that when he was kidnapped the miscreants had demanded Rs. 10 lakh as ransom. He parted with Rs. 5 lakh first but they threatened him with dire consequences and so he had to part with Rs. 2 lakh more and then they had released him. He added that since he lodged an FIR, the miscreants continuously are threatening him and his family members with dire consequences and in the meantime, they tried to kidnap his younger brother.

Pappu Khann further said that the miscreants were demanding extortion from his family since August and he is confined in his house for three months. He had suffered a loss of Rs. 60 lakh so far. He stated that he along with all the family members will self-immolate if they do not get justice.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that after getting application in this regard, a police team under the ASP Parichay Kumar has been formed and the police team on the basis of CCTV footage is conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
