BUXAR-----------------------Motorcycle borne armed miscreants wrested jewelries worth about Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 90 thousand in cash from a family near Buxar roundabout under Buxar town police station.
A marriage ceremony was to be solemnized in the house of Rajesh Kumar at Balihar village under Simari police station in Buxar district and so he along with two women of the family had come to Buxar in a car to purchase jewelries. They purchased jewelries worth about Rs. 10 from R K Jewelers at Jamuna Chowk and were returning home in a car and when they reached near Buxar Golambar, motorcycle borne armed miscreants intercepted and said that their mobile has fell from the car. As Rajesh Kumar came out of the car to take the mobile, the miscreants sprayed pepper powder on them. Later they snatched the jewelries and Rs. 90,000 in cash from them and fled away. Rajesh Kumar informed the police regarding the incident.
SHO Buxar town police station Sanjay Kumar Sinha said that after information, police have swung into action and are investigating the matter. Police are looking into the CCTV footage and are trying to identify the miscreants. The SHO said that the entire area has been cordoned off and hoped that the police will very soon arrest the miscreants.
