BUXAR------------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead an elderly person near Koirpurva Angreji graveyard under Buxar town police station and escaped from the scene. The deceased was identified as Malayi Singh 50 son of Bikrama Singh. The deceased was a social worker and also an owner of Shehnai Marriage Hall. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Buxar town town police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
SHO Buxar town police station said that Malayi Singh of Koirpurva village, after taking meal was returning home in the late night on August 5, 2024 when he reached near Angrezi Graveyard, some armed miscreants waylaid and shot him dead and escaped from the scene.
Buxar SP Manish Kumar said that Malayi Singh was a farmer cum owner of Shehnai Marriage Hall. He added that after institution of FIR, police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He said that reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
