MISCREANTS SHOT DEAD A YOUTH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA----------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a youth at Sohara village under Krihnagarh police station in the late evening on January 28, 2025 and escaped from the scene. The deceased was identified as Sumit Singh 37 son of late Baijnath Singh of Hetampur village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district. He lived in his new house at K G road under Nawada police station and ran a mobile shop near Tribhuwani Kothi at Station road under Nawada police station. Later the police brought the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Krishnagarh police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Police also recovered some blank cartridges from the spot. The Police also requisitioned a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) that collected several evidences from the incident site. The police arrived at the Ara Sadar Hospital and got information about the incident from the family members of the deceased. At the Ara Sadar Hospital, the family members of the deceased, seeing the police, became agitated and said that they would not let the body to take away till the miscreants were not arrested. The police after much effort persuaded them and calmed down the agitating people.

SDPO-2 Ranjeet Kumar Singh said that the family members have not lodged FIR so far in this regard but the police are investigating the matter and also hoped that the miscreants would be arrested very soon. He said that the family members blamed that the Mukhia Mohan Sharma and his two sons Sonu Sharma and Sanjay Sharma for killing Sumit Singh.

Arun Singh, uncle of the deceased said that he had gone to Sohara village to get signature of people on the no-confidence motion against the Mukhia Sohara panchayat Mohan Sharma when the Mukhia along with his aides had come and both the groups had clashed. Later two separate FIRs were lodged with the police under Krishnagarh police station in this regard by both the groups. And this was the bone of contention in between them. The Chowkidar had called him to Balua to query in this case. He along with his nephew Sumit Singh went there and they were returning, Arun Singh stayed at Saraiya Bazaar. Meanwhile the present Mukhia Mohan Sharma and his two sons Sonu Sharma and Sanhay Sharma intercepted Sumit Singh and pumped five bullets into his bodies and escaped from the scene. The family members rushed him to a private nursing home where the doctor declared him brought dead.

Reportedly, the deceased had criminal background and at least half a dozen cases of murder and attempt to murder are lodged with the police against him.
