MISCREANTS SHOT DEAD A YOUTH, POLICE ARREST TWO PERSONS

ARA--------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a youth at the outskirt of Indrapura-Sultanpur villages under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district in the late night on April 28, 2025. The police recovered the body from a field in the morning today and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Vikas Kumar 20 son of Subhash Sharma of Jaitpur village under Udwantnagar police station. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has been requisitioned. Police are investigating the matter. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard. The police called the cousin brother and the brother-in-law (jija) of the deceased for interrogation.

SHO Udwantnagar police station said that Vikas Kumar along with his cousin brother Rakesh Kumar of Sultanpur village under Gadhani police station and brother-in-law Rakesh Kumar of Ichari village and some others had gone to the Boring at the outskirt of Jaitpur village to sleep after taking meal in the night. After some time Vikas Kumar reached at the outskirt of Indrapura village leaving his relatives to talk someone on his mobile where he was shot dead but his relatives could not know about the incident.

In the morning on April 29, 2025, the SHO, Udwantnagar police Station Ram Kalyan Yadav along with police force arrived at the spot and took the cousin brother Rakesh  Kuamr and the brother-in-law (jija) Rakesh Kumar into custody for interrogation. The SHO said that DIU team also arrived at the spot and added that police are investigating the matter on technical and scientific basis.
