MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED TWO SAND LABOURERS

BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST TWO MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS

ARA------------------------------Some armed miscreants shot at and injured two youths at 18(B) Sand Ghat at Kajichak under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district and also decamped with about Rs. 15 lakh though the police arrested two miscreants and recovered live cartridges and blank cartridges from the spot and are also conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants. The injured were admitted to a private nursing home at Ara. The injured were identified as Sonu Kumar 20 son of Prem Kumar Singh of Ward No 6 of Bhimpura village under Azimabad police station and Mukesh Kumar Gupta 27 son of Chandeshwar Sah of Ward No. 7 of Saraiya village under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district. The injured worked as sand loaders at the sand Ghat. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Sandesh police station in this regard. The police are investigating the matter and also interrogating the arrested miscreants. The incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the Sand Ghat and a video of it has been made viral on the social media that clearly showed that four veiled criminals with rifles and a lathi in their hands came at the Sand Ghat and started firing. They took away two steel boxes, printer, laptop and a bag with them.

Injured Mukesh Kumar Gupta said that he was loading the vehicles with sand that had come from outside at the 18(B) Kachichak Sand Ghat under Sandesh police station. After loading, he got some commission. While he was loading sand and was getting the chalan, six veiled and armed miscreants in the late night came and put rifle to his temple and when he protested, the miscreants shot at and injured him. Later the miscreants entered a room at the Sand Ghat and fired at least 20 rounds of bullets and also shot at and injured his friend Sonu Kumar in the room. Later the miscreants escaped with laptop, printer, one black coloured bag and two steel boxes.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that seven armed miscreants including a boatman fired during a loot at Sand Ghat in the night in which Mukesh Kumar Gupta and Sonu Kumar were injured. He further said that the police, on information, swung into action at once and arrested two miscreants with a country made rifle, a country made pistol, 8 live cartridges, one magazine, one motorcycle and Rs. 50,000 in cash and the rest miscreants have also been identified and the police are conducting raids to arrest them.
