MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED FORMER MUKHIA

ARA-----------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured former Mukhia cum BJP leader Binod Kumar Singh at Dakshini Ekauna village under Udwantnagr police station when he was going on his Scorpio. His associates on the Scorpio rushed him to a private nursing home at Babu Bazaar. The injured was son of late Girija Prasad Singh of Bagwa village under Gadhani police station was former Mukhia of Bagwa panchayat of Gadhani block in Bhojpur district. Later the miscreants escaped from the spot on their motorcycle. On information, the police rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter.

The injured former Mukhia Binod Kumar Singh said that he had enmity with the miscreants over a piece of land. He had lodged an FIR against them under Udwantnagar police station and they had been in the jail earlier. Since, they targeted him.

Binod Kumar Singh further said that he had gone to Dakshini Ekauna village under Udwantnagar police station to meet his partner Mohan Kumar and when he was returning on his Scorpio, three motorcycle borne armed miscreants waylaid near Dakshini Ekauna village and fired on him. In the process, he received two bullets and three bullets hit his Scorpio damaging the vehicle. Later they fled away from the scene firing in the air. He blamed some youths including the son of Niranjan Singh for the incident.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the son of Niranjan Singh shot at and injured the former Mukhia near Piyanaia Mod under Udwantnagar police station and the injured was admitted to a private nursing home. He said that the miscreant is an acquaintance of the injured. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He formed a special police team under the ASP. The miscreant has been identified and process of property attachment is on progress.
