MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED DEPUTY MUKHIA

ARA (RNI) Motorcycle borne some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured Deputy Mukhia, Khandol Panchayat under Sandesh police station in the morning today when he was going to the village market on his motorcycle to buy groceries. Local villagers rushed him to the Primary Health Centre at Sandesh but the doctor referred him to the Ara Sadar Hospital after first aid. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Sandesh police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The injured was identified as Deepak Kumar Sahu 32 son of Nathu Sahu of Fuladi village under Sandesh police station. The injured is Deputy Mukhia of Khandol Panchayat Ward No. 14.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that Deepak Kumar Sahu was going to the village market to purchase groceries on his motorcycle in the morning on September 15, 2024 when motorcycle borne some unidentified armed miscreants intercepted him and shot at and injured him. Deepak Kumar Sahu fell to the ground bleeding profusely as the bullet had hit his waist and fell unconscious. The ASP stated that non-confidence motion was brought against him which is still pending. He added that the police are investigating the matter from every angle. He said that police force and FSL team have been sent to the spot and hoped that the miscreants will be arrested very soon.
