MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED A YOUTH

ARA------------------------------Motorcycle borne armed miscreants shot at and injured a youth near Kulharia village on Patna-Buxar main road after an altercation in between them over an old enmity. When they were trying to flee from the scene, the villagers caught one of the miscreants and thrashed him badly to half-dead but the police somehow rescued him from the villagers and admitted him to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Koelwar while the police admitted the injured youth to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The second miscreant succeeded in fleeing from the scene. The injured was identified as Sukhdev Yadav 22 son of Jhaman Yadav of Kulharia village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district while the arrested miscreant was identified as Bunty son of Darbari Rai of Songhatta village under Giddha police station in Bhojpur district. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Koelwar police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the second miscreant.

SHO Koelwar police station Narottam Chandra said that Sukhdev Yadav was going towards NH from his house at Kulharia when motorcycle borne two armed miscreants from Ara came and embroiled with him over some old dispute and later shot at and injured Sukhdev Yadav and tried to escape towards Ara. The villagers, when Sukhdev Yadav raised alarm, chased and caught one of the miscreants and thrashed him to half-dead. On information, the police rushed to the spot and somehow freed the miscreant from the villagers and admitted him to the PHC, Koelwar. The SHO further said that the arrested miscreant named his aide and the police are conducting raids to arrest him. He stated that a dispute was going in between them over money transaction.
