ARA---------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured motorcycle borne clothes merchant near Sikraul village under Sikarhatta police station on Fatehpur-Ramnagar Canal road in Bhojpur and escaped from the scene. The injured was rushed to the Piro hospital but the doctor referred him to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The injured was identified as Sunil Kumar 25 son of Surendra Singh of Patkhauliya village under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district. He is a cloth merchant and has a cloth shop at Fatehpur Bazaar. The police rushed to spot and started investigating the matter. The police are also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. An FIR was lodged with the police under Sikarhatta police station in this regard on the statement of the injured.
Rajesh Kumar brother of the injured said that he has a CSP centre of the State Bank of India at Fatehpur Bazaar while his brother Sunil Kumar has a cloth shop there. He added that they were returning home on a motorcycle in the late evening on August 5, 2024 after closing their shops and when they reached near Sikraul village, motorcycle borne two miscreants intercepted their motorcycle and looted cash and a gold locket and when they protested, the miscreants shot at and injured Sunil Kumar and escaped from the scene.
