Some armed miscreants fired a potato businessman near the Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University residence at Eastern Railway Crossing under Nawada police station in the late evening on November 20, 2024 though the businessman survived by a hair’s breadth. His sons Ashish Gupta and Manish Gupta chased and nabbed one of the two miscreants. The local residents later thrashed the miscreants badly.

ARA-----------------------Some armed miscreants fired a potato businessman near the Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University residence at Eastern Railway Crossing under Nawada police station in the late evening on November 20, 2024 though the businessman survived by a hair’s breadth. His sons Ashish Gupta and Manish Gupta chased and nabbed one of the two miscreants. The local residents later thrashed the miscreants badly. On information the SHO Nawada police station Bipin Bihari arrived at the spot and started investigating the matter. The police recovered one live cartridge and two blank cartridges from the spot. The potato businessman was identified as Binod Kumar Gupta son of late Sribhagwan Gupta of Jawahar Tola under Nawada police station in Bhojpur district while the arrested miscreant was identified as Chhotu alias Manish of Matiyara village under Giddha police station in Bhojpur district. Police are conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants.

The Potato businessman Binod Kumar Gupta said that he along with his two sons, Manish Kumar Gupta and Ashish Kumar Gupta were working at his shop when three unidentified armed miscreants came and demanded extortion and when he refused, the miscreants fired at him but he survived narrowly.
