MISCREANT WANTED IN FIRING ON A YOUTH SURRENDERS IN THE ARA CIVIL COURT AND SENT TO JAIL

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police heaved a sigh of relief after a miscreant Gautam Kumar son of Rajmahal Yadav of Ahirpurva locality under Ara town police station, under mounting police pressure, surrendered in the Ara Civil Court and was sent to jail under judicial custody. Some armed miscreants had shot at and injured a youth at a private clinic at Dhanupura under Ara town police station when he had come there for the delivery of his wife. Love affair was said to be the cause behind the incident. The police gave a petition in the court for his remand so that the police could interrogate him.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a youth Rangnath Chauhan 33 son of Sitaram Chauhan Bali village under Gaurichak police station in Patna district was married at Dhanupura locality under Ara town police station and he had come here for the delivery of his wife. He admitted his wife at a private nursing home ‘Vindhyawasini Hospital’ where she begot a male child after operation on August 28, 2023. Meanwhile a miscreant entered the hospital and pumped three bullets into the body of Rangnath Chauhan and escaped. The police admitted him to a private nursing home at Ara. During investigation the police identified the miscreant with the CCTV footage and police started conducting raids to arrest the miscreant. Under mounting police pressure, the miscreant surrendered in the Ara Civil Court and was sent to the Ara jail. The SP said that the police also identified the aide of the miscreant who was waiting outside the hospital with the motorcycle. The police are conducting raids to arrest him.

Shankar Chauhan, father-in-law of the injured of Dharahara locality under Ara town police station lodged a named FIR against Gautam Kumar in connection with firing on his son-in-law. He said that his daughter was under treatment at a private nursing home at Dharahara under Ara town police station and she begot a male child after operation. On Thursday evening, he and his son-in-law Rangnath Chauhan were chatting at the hospital at about 7pm when Gautam Kumar reached there and pumped three bullets into his body. When he tried to nab him, Gautam Kumar escaped towards Ara railway station firing in the air.

SHO Ara town police station said that the miscreant was in love with the girl before her marriage and he wanted to talk to her even after her marriage. When her husband protested, Gautam Kumar shot at and injured him.
