MINOR GIRL MET WATERY GRAVE

Ara, 30 May 2023, (RNI): One minor girl drowned in the Ganga river at Mahuli Ghat under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district while having a dip. The deceased was identified as Pushpa Kumari 6 daughter of Chandan Ram Badaki Nainijor under Nainijor police station in Buxar district.

Visheshwar Ram uncle of the deceased said that his brother Chandan Ram along with all the family members had come to Dera village to attend tonsure ceremony of the son of his brother-in-law (sala) where all of the them went to the Mahuli Ganga ghat for the rituals. Meanwhile, Chandan Ram along with his daughter Pushpa Kumari went to the river to have a dip. Thinking that Pushpa Kumari might have come out of the river, he himself came out but did not find his daughter there. He at once again entered the river and after some time came out with the body and rushed to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor said brought dead. The family members informed the police stationed at the Ara Sadar Hospital and the police recovered the body and got the postmortem done.
