Sand laden a speeding truck crushed to death a minor girl near Pratapsagar under Dumraon police station on Ara-Buxar main road in Buxar district and the driver escaped from the spot with the truck. Irate villagers blocked the Ara-Buxar main road with the body near Pratapsagr village and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. BUXAR--------------------------Sand laden a speeding truck crushed to death a minor girl near Pratapsagar under Dumraon police station on Ara-Buxar main road in Buxar district and the driver escaped from the spot with the truck. Irate villagers blocked the Ara-Buxar main road with the body near Pratapsagr village and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. They were demanding ban on the plying of sand laden vehicles on the road, compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after positive assurance of the police officers. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Nibha Kumari 8 daughter of Shankar Mahato of Pratapsagar village.
SHO Dumraon police station said that Nibha Kumari was going to her house at Pratapsagar village from her school. Meanwhile sand laden truck came at great speed and crushed the girl to death. Later the driver escaped from the scene with the truck.
