ARA---------------------------One minor girl was crushed to death near Chandi Bazaar under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on August 24, 2023 when she was returning home with her grandmother. The deceased was said to be the daughter of Chand Kumar of Narahi Chandi under the Chandi police station. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and arrested the driver with the vehicle. An FIR was also lodged with the police under Chandi police station in this regard.
A 10year old girl had gone to the Chandi Bazaar along with her grandmother for purchasing. When they were returning home at about 7pm on August 24, 2023, a speeding vehicle crushed the girl killing her on spot while the grandmother escaped unhurt. The villagers at once gheraoed the Chandi police station and demonstrated there. They blamed that due to illegal dumping of sand on roads on Sakaddi-Nasariganj and Chandi-Zamira roads, frequent accidents occurred due to reckless plying on heavy vehicles on roads. Under pressure of villagers, the police arrested the driver with the vehicle.
