MINOR BOY FELL INTO THE DITCH AND DIED

Bhabhua, 2 April 2023, (RNI): One minor boy fell into a ditch and died at Kurra village under Mohania police station in Kaimur district. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Shivam Kumar 5 son of Sanjay Gupta of Kurra village under Mohania police station in Kaimur district.

Villagers said that preparation was going on a ‘Yagya’ at Kurra village and all the villagers including the family members of the deceased except the child and his mother had gone to take water from Ratwar river in the village at Mohania. The villagers had dug at least a dozen ditches in the village to prevent dirty water to reach the ‘Yagya’ spot. Meanwhile, Shivam Kumar came out of his house and fell into the ditch dug outside his house and died. As the family members knew about it, they took out the child from the ditch and rushed to the Bhabhua Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared brought dead.
