MIDDLE AGED PERSON SHOT AT AND INJURED IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA---------------------------Armed miscreant shot at and injured an elderly person at Ekwari village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district during the first wedding anniversary of the daughter. Family members rushed the injured to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The injured was identified as Siyaram Singh 50 son of late Shital Singh of Ekwari village. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Sahar police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.

SHO Sahar police station said that during the first wedding anniversary of his daughter, Siyaram Singh had organized a dance programme at Ekwari village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district in the night of June 21, 2024. After taking meal, the guests and family members were enjoying the dance programme when two youths of the village came uninvited and started quarrelling to occupy the front seat. All the persons present there, tried their best to persuade them but in vain and at last one of the youth fired with his pistol and the bullet hit Siyaram Singh and injured him. Later both the youths escaped from the scene.
