One middle aged person drowned in the village pond and died at Dhakapur village under Jagdishpur police station.
Ara, 18 February 2023, (RNI): One middle aged person drowned in the village pond and died at Dhakapur village under Jagdishpur police station. The police fished out the body with the help of villagers and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Ram Babu Singh 40 son of Yamuna Singh of Medapur village under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district.
Ram Babu Singh had gone to Dhakapur village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district to attend marriage ceremonies of son and daughter of Jagdishpur MLA Ram Vishun Singh Lohia on motorcycle. He went to the village pond to attend call of nature but he slipped and fell into the pond and drowned. In the morning today, a woman saw a body floating on the pond, she raised an alarm. Hearing her cry, villagers rushed to spot and informed the police. Later the police fished out the body from the pond with the help of villagers and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
