Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Balraj Thakur said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was the president of the Indian National Congress, while attacking the divisive policy of the British in the Ramgarh Congress session in the year 1940, had said that the place of Indian Muslims in India is not that of minority in the politics here. He had said that he was proud that he was a part of Indian nationalism. “I am proud to be an Indian,” said Prof. Diwakar Pandey and added that Mulana Saheb’s contribution in the freedom struggle cannot be forgotten.
Shiv Das Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Santosh Pandey, Shashikant Tiwari, Sanjay Duney, Dr. Suman Kumari. Dr. Satya Narayan Upadhyaya, Amitabh Thakur also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Baban Singh moderated while Pankaj Thakur extended vote of thanks.
