MARRIED WOMAN STRANGULATED TO DEATH FOR MONEY
One married woman was strangulated to death at Madhuri Tola under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district merely of Rs. one lakh.
Ara, 7 February 2023, (RNI): One married woman was strangulated to death at Madhuri Tola under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district merely of Rs. one lakh. Later the in-laws locked the door of the house and escaped from the scene today. The deceased was identified as Kanchan Devi 24 wife of Munna Rajwanshi of Madhuri Tola under Charpokhari police station. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station against the husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law on the statement of Ravi Kumar, brother of the deceased.
Quoting the FIR, the SHO Charpokhari police station said that Kanchan Devi was married to Munna Rajwanshi in the year 2017 and her husband and in-laws were demanding Rs. one lakh for constructing house for the last two months and when their demands were not fulfilled, they strangulated her to death and escaped from the scene locking the door of the house from outside. When the family members of the deceased got information, they rushed to the spot and found the house locked. They broke the lock and informed the police.
