MARRIED WOMAN STRANGULATED TO DEATH

SASARAM, (RNI) A case of killing a married woman at Natwar Bazaar under Natwar police station in Rohtas district has come to light. The deceased was identified as Divya Kumari alias Munni Kumari 26 wife of Pappu Kumar of Natwar village. The villagers recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Natwar police station against six persons including Pappu Kumar, husband, father-in-law Rajendra Sah, mother-in-lawRadhika Devi, sisters-in-law Santara Devi and Bhagini Devi of the deceased on the statement of the brother of the deceased. Later the police arrested the husband, father-in-law and the mother-in-law of the deceased for interrogation.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Natwar police station Vipijn Bihari said that Divya Kumari alias Munni Kumari was married to Pappu Kumar of Natwar village about 12 years ago. Since her in-laws tortured her physically and mentally for more dowry and the matter was hushed time always but the in-laws did not refrain from their torturing her and at last they strangulated her to death. After killing her, Pappu Kumar, husband of the deceased informed on mobile that Divya Kumari alias Munni Kumari died after complaining stomachache. The brother of the deceased informed the police and rushed to the spot along with other members of his family where they found Divya Kumari alias Munni Kumari dead. Her family members blamed that Pappu Kumar had extra-marital relation with some other woman and when Divya Kumari alias Munni Kumari protested, the in-laws strangulated her to death.
