MARRIED WOMAN LYNCHED IN BHOJPUR

Ara, 6 April 2023, (RNI): Some miscreants lynched a young woman while sleeping in her house at Kulharia village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Vandana Devi 25 daughter of Ramesh Pawar of Kulharia village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. She lived with her family in the village and worked as labour.

Sita Devi mother of the deceased said that she had bought a piece of land in the village and so her relatives were envious and the land was cause of enmity in between two families. She had gone to the temple for worship and her daughter Vandana Devi sleeping on a couch outside the house all alone while other children were dancing inside the house after closing the gate. Meanwhile, she said, that her two brother-in-laws (devars) Bosara and Indrajeet along with two others Kapoor and Chirnji and attacked on her chest with sharp edged weapons and killed her on spot.

SHO Koewlar police station Avinash Kumar said that the family members of the deceased were going to bury her after murder but the police, on information rushed to the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

The deceased was married to Gunda Shinde of Maharashtra some years ago but he tied nuptial knot with another woman and deserted her and so the deceased lived with her parents at Kulharia village.
