BUXAR-----------------------Speeding truck crushed to death a married woman near the Veer Kuer Singh Bridge in Buxar district and the driver fled away from the scene after the incident. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Runi Devi 40 wife of Om Prakash Dubey of Lahana village of Chakki block presenting living at Sarimpur locality under Buxar town police station.
Runi Devi had gone to Bharauli in Uttar Pradesh to attend a marriage ceremony and when she was returning from there on foot, a speeding truck from Uttar Pradesh crushed her to death near the Veer Kuer Singh Bridge and the driver escaped with the truck after the incident. The family members contacted the Circle Officer and the Block Development Officer and demanded compensation. The officers duo assured to give compensation as per the rule.
