MARRIED WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE AS HER HUSBAND REFUSED TO TAKE HER WITH HIM

Ara, 20 July 2023, (RNI): One married woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the house at Laxmanpur village under Bahoranpur police outpost in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Pinki Devi wife of Chhotak Gond of Laxmanpur village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

SHO Bahoranpur police outpost Abhay Shankar Singh said that Chhotak Gond lived in Punjab and worked there. He had come to his village about a fortnight ago. He said that Pinki Devi asserted to go out with her husband and her husband tried to admonish her that she is very weak as she had begot a child only 15 days ago. He said that he would take her with him after some time but she was adamant to go with her husband and when he did not yield, she committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan of the house in the night. The deceased had two sons and two daughters and she had begot a child just 15 days ago. The SHO said that a UD case has been lodged with the police under Bahoranpur police outpost on the written petition of the mother of the deceased.
