One married woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the house at Dulaur village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district
Ara, 19 June 2023, (RNI): One married woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the house at Dulaur village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Lalmati Devi 22 wife of Kanchan Prajapati of Dulaur village. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
SHO Jagdishpur police station said that Lalmati Devi was married to Kanchan Prajapati one year ago. Her father got the information and reached Dualur village when her in-laws were trying to perform the last rites of the deceased. They informed the police and the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
The in-laws of the deceased said that Lalmani Devi committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan of the house and added that she had not dispute with the family.
