MARRIED WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE

ARA----------------------------One married woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan of her house at Narahi village under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Pushpa Kumari 24 wife of Sonu Kumar. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Chandi police station against the in-laws and husband of the deceased on the statement of the parents of the deceased. Police are investigating the matter. On the other hand, the parents of the deceased blamed the in-laws for thrashing and killing her and later hanged the body to the ceiling fan to give colour of suicide after they found black mark on her back and neck.

Umesh Paswan, uncle of the deceased said that Gopal Paswan of Semaria village under Shahpur police station had married his daughter Pushpa Kumari with Sonu Kumar son of Gopi Chand Paswan of Narahi village under Chandi police station in the year 2021. Sonu Kumar is a boozer and he sold out her all the ornaments and whenever he needed money, she demanded from her parents and come to Semaria and took the money with her. He further said that in the evening on November 15, 2024, she called her parents saying that her in-laws and husband thrashed her even today they further thrashed her and called them for rescue. When her family members reached Narahi village, they found her body hanging to the ceiling fan.
