ARA------------------------Floral tributes were paid to Makhanlal Chaturvedi, the immortal poet of ‘Pushp Ki Abhilasha’ on his 136^th birth anniversary under the aegis of Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. Prof. Baliraj Thakur, Bhojpur district president, Bhojpur district Hindi Sahitya Sammelan and Senator, Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) presided over the meeting. Shashikant Tiwari welcomed the distinguished guests while Dr. Satyanarayan Upadhayaya conducted the meeting and Dr. Nand Ji Dubey extended vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Baliraj Thakur described Chaturvedi Ji as a man of the path of sacrifice and said that he was the creator of the nationalist literature. He was a dedicated fighter of India’s freedom movement who was already to sacrifice his life for the freedom of the country. His revolutionary poems filled Indians with enthusiasm.

Secretary, Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Dr. Nand Ji Dubey paid tributes to him by calling him a great freedom fighter. State President, Jan Sanskriti Manch, Jitendra Kumar said that Chaturvedi Ji is our national poet among the poets of the modern era. Prof. Diwakar Pandey said that Chaturvedi Ji was a saint, speaker and rebel who is remembered as a literary god.

Pintu Singh, Madheshwar Nath Pandey, Nilesh Mishra and Shivdas Singh performed Mangala Charan while Shivdas Singh, Janardan Mishra, Alakh Anari and Dr. Renu Mishra recited their poems.
