MAIN ACCUSED IN THE FIRING SURRENDERED IN THE COURT=

ARA--------------------------Under mounting police pressure, the main accused surrendered in the Ara Civil Court in connection with firing and injuring three persons at Dhobia lane near Aranay Devi temple under Ara town police station and was sent to jail under judicial custody. The accused was identified as Anshu Kumar son of Shiv Jee Prasad of Bihar Colony near Water Tank at Mirganj under Ara town police station.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Jitu Kumar 26 son of late Baiju Prasad of Gupta Lane near Aranya Devi temple along with his friends Rahul Kumar 24 son of Jyoti Prakash of Badi Mosque and Aman Kumar 21 son of Balram Prasad of Purani Adalat Padav Mor under Ara town police station was going to the Dhobia lane near Aranay Devi temple under Ara town police station in the late evening on August 22, 2024 when Anshu Kumar along with Nakul Mahato, Sudhir Mahato and four others came and fired on Anshu Kumar and his friends in which all of them were injured. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard. The SP said that during verification it came to light that some years ago the injured persons were made named accused in a murder and they were shot at and injured in retaliation. After institution of FIR, a police team under the SHO Ara town police station Devraj Rai was formed. The police team following technical information arrested two miscreants earlier and sent them to jail under judicial custody. The police are also conducting raids to arrest other miscreants. Meanwhile, under mounting police pressure, Anshu Kumar, main accused in the firing, surrendered in the Ara Civil Court and was sent to jail. The SP said that the police will take all the arrested miscreants on remand for further interrogation.
