LORD SHIVA WAITS FOR JUSTICE FOR THE LAST 14 YEARS

27-OCT-ENG 6

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA--------------------------Lord Shiva is waiting for justice for the last 14 years. He had knocked the door of the Ara Civil Court about 14 years ago to save his land. Lord Shiv listens to everyone and has solutions of all problems but now He Himself is in so big trouble that He had to go to the court for justice.

Siddhnath Temple at Ara, said to be existed from the time unmemorable, has been pleading for justice in the Ara Civilm Court for the last 14 years. The fight is not with general people but with the Bihar Government and the Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The land of the ancient temple was reduced in the latest survey and so a case was filed in the Ara Civil Court in the year 2011 in the name of Lord Shiva of Shiddhnath Temple at Bind Toli under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district which is still sub-judice.

Mahanth of the Shiddhnath Temple Siddeshwar Baba said that earlier the total area of the Siddhnath Temple was One acre 37 decimals but when the survey was done again, the area was reduced to only 84 decimals by the government. So a case No 57/2011 was filed in the Ara Civil Court by the Mahanth of the temple against the Bihar Government, AMC, the erstwhile female ward councilor and 7 other people in this regard and the case is still pending in the court for the last 14 years. Presently the testimony of all the accused is taking place. The Mahanth said that the service of this temple was started by his ancestors which they are still carrying out. When his mother Sudama Kunwar was a Mahanth, a case was filed in the year 2011. After her death, he is looking after the case.

Giving detailed information about the case, the Mahanth said that this is a temple by the name of Siddhnath Mahadev and for hundreds of years, this temple had its own land of 1 acre and 37 decimals but when the survey was done again, the land of the temple was directly reduced to 84 decimals. Some part of the temple land was declared as its own by the Bihar Government while some parts was declared as its own by the AMC and the remaining some land was registered by the private house owners in the survey in their own name. Due to which a case has been filed in the Ara Civil Court in the name of Mahadev Ji against the Bihar Government, AMC, then ward councilor and some private people.

Ravi Kumar Srivastava, advocate of Mahadev Ji said that this is a bit surprising but it is possible in the constitution of India. In the name of God, his servants or temple priests can sue anyone. He said that a case has been registered for under-reporting the temple land in the survey. The case is going on in the Ara Civil Court for the last 14 years. 10 people have been made parties by Mahadev Ji. He added that this is God’s case and so he fights this case without fees. At present the testimony of the side and the opposition is going on, it will take time for the judgment to come.
