LAST RITES PERFORMED AFTER THREE DAYS, SEVEN YEAR OLD SON PERFORMED LAST RITES OF HIS MOTHER
Under cover of police force, a seven month old son Ariket of performed last rites of his mother Archana Devi wife of Ravi Shankjar, a railway driver after three days of her death at the local Kav river bank. The police also arrested three persons in this regard so far.
Sasaram, 4 May 2023, (RNI): Under cover of police force, a seven month old son Ariket of performed last rites of his mother Archana Devi wife of Ravi Shankjar, a railway driver after three days of her death at the local Kav river bank. The police also arrested three persons in this regard so far.
Kishore Chaudhary’s daughter Archana Devi was married to Ravi Shankar a railway driver at Ward No 5 at Anand Nagar locality of Bikramganj in Rohts district about one and a half year ago and had a seven year old son with the marriage. In the afternoon on May 1, 2023, she handed over her son to her mother-in-law Lalita Devi and the sister-in-law Riyaa at about 12 noon and retired to her room in the house to have rest but she did not came out of the room till 4 pm the same day. Then Lalita Devi and Riya with the help of a carpenter broke the door and entered the room where they found body of Archana Devi hanging to the ceiling. The immediately informed the neighbours, villagers, relatives and even the family members of the deceased. On their arrival, they informed the police. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Her in-laws brought the body after the postmortem and kept it in the house and locked the door of the house from outside.
SHO Bikramganj police station Manoj Kumar said that a named FIR was lodged with the police under Bikramganj police station on the statement of Kishore Chaudhary against the mother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, maternal uncle-in-law and the husband of the deceased blaming that they had killed Archana Devi and Ravi Shankar conducted the whole episode on mobile from Mumbai. The police at once arrested three of the named accused.
In the morning, when the foul smell emitted from the house, the villagers informed the police. The SDO, Bikramganj, Upendra Pal deployed the Circle Officer (CO), Bikramganj, magistrate for the last rites of the body. At his direction, the police went to the spot and took out the body after broking the door of the house and brought it at the bank of the river Kav for the last rites where the family member assembled and requested the police to wait for her husband who was promising to come from Mumbai but he did not come. Then the seven year old son of the deceased Ariket performed the last rites of his mother.
