LALA LAJPAT RAI WAS AN INVINCIBLE WARRIOR OF THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE-PROF. BALIRAJ THAKUR
Since 1947, we have been living with legacy of freedom struggle. This precious heritage has to be protected, strengthened, developed and enhanced. Those societies which do not have their ancestors to inspire them in the present and future are like orphans, said the President, Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan and Veer Kuer Singh University Senator, Professor Baliraj Thakur whike addressing a presidential address at a programme organized under the ageis of Lok Chetana Manch on the 165th birth anniversary of the Punjab Keshar Lala Lajpat Rai.

Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that the life of Lala Lajpat Rai will continue to inspire patriotism in the nation in the present and also in the future. Describing Lala Lajpat Rai as an unbeatable warrior of the freedom struggle, Prof. Thakur said that the countrymen cannot forget the support of self-reliance, the embodiment of sacrifice, the spokesperson of Indian culture, the devotee of Karmyoga, the great freedom fighter and martyr Lala Lajpat Rai. He was a member of the extremist group of Congress along with Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Vipin Chandra Pal and Arbindo Ghosh. Though, Arbindo Ghosh later became a hermit.
Dr. Nand Jee Dubey, Dr. Diwakar Pandey and Shivdas Singh described Lala Lajpat Rai as a great humanitarian and threw light on his life in detail. Dr. Babann Singh conducted the meeting and Pankaj Kumar Thakur extended vote of thanks. Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, Shashikant Tiwari, Madhu Mishra, Pintu Singh, Dr. Satyanarayan, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Dr. Ayodhya Prasad Upadhyay, Dr. Janardan Mishra and others also remembered Lala Lajpat Rai with reverence.
