KHATALS SRANG UP AT DIFFERENT PLACES LIKE MUSHROOM

Ara, 12 July 2023, (RNI): Though the government is taking action against the encroachers, several Khatals sprung up at Ara, headquarter of the Bhojpur district thumbing nose at the government. The Khatal owners are encroaching lands in the name of running their Khatals on roadside but neither Bhojpur district administration nor the Ara Municipal Corporation is taking action against them boosting their morale though the people are facing a lot of problems like jam and sanitation. The Khatal owners or the encroachers have become a canker for Ara town.

Khatals are set up at different places at Ara even near the offices of the top officials of the district openly on road and the roads are being encroached in the name of Khatals but the officers have turned a blind eye towards this menace. It may be easily guessed as to what is the situation in other places of the Ara town. The morale of the Khatal owners and encroachers is so high that they have set up Khatals on the either side of the road near the office of the SP, Ara Collectorate and the erstwhile office of the Special Branch. Because of this, the traffic is getting obstructed on one side while on the other, there is a pile of filth and garbage.

Besides, cow dung in thrown into the drain due to which the drains become chocked and due to throwing of dung and other waste into the drains, water does not flow through them and not action is taken against them. It is like near the church and further from heaven.
