KARAKAT CDPO SUSPENDED, TWO SEVIKAS DISMISSED

Sasaram, 30 April 2023, (RNI): Under Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, Kumari Seema suspended the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Karakat Kalawati Kumari and dismissed two Aganbadi Sevikas of Godari Centre Code No. 4, Shakti Tiwari, Code No 200 and Nirmala Kumari Code No 50 of in connection with irregularities and dereliction of duty one one hand while on the other served show-cause notices on DPO, ICDS and the CDPO, Kargahar with a warning to do their duties with responsibility. The action was taken on the basis of inquiry report of the department.

By the order of Social Welfare Department, Patna, a team of Departmental Inquiry committee arrived at Karakat, Kargahar and Sasaram in Rohtas district and inquired into the department works. The Inquiry Committee detected several irregularities at Anganbadi centres in Karakat. The Inquiry Committee found several irregularities in the Anganbadi Centres run under the ICDS, Rohtas district in its inquiry report such as closure of several Anganbadi centres temporarily, number of attendance children less than registered number, presence of children without uniform, non-maintenance of register regarding complaints received from the people on the complaints letters received from the Public Grievance Department, non-functional of Weighing machine and water filter, unsatisfactory condition of sanitation, lack of pre-school education materials, closure of distribution of eggs/milk, lack of vessels and others. The department taking cognizance, the department served show cause notice on the CDPO, Karakat and the disciplinary Authority of the department reviewed the reply on the show cause notice received from the CDPO, Karakat and was found that food could not be supplied to the Anganbadi centres due to lack of administrative control on the centre under her.
