KAIMUR POLICE SEIZED 10792 BOTTLES OF IMFL, ARREST THE TRUCK DRIVER

Bhabhua, 24 June 2023, (RNI): Kaimur police seized 10792 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth about Rs. 20 lakh from a DCM truck from near Parasiya petrol pump under Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district. The police arrested the driver of the truck and also seized the truck and recovered one GPS set, one mobile and Rs. 8500 in cash. The truck driver was identified as Surendra Singh son of Rana Singh of Gorar village under Khadkhada police station of Sonipat district in Haryana. He had been in jail earlier for liquor smuggling.

SDPO, Bhabhua Shiv Shankar Kumar said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled in a DCM truck from Haryana. He at once swung into action and ordered the police arrest the liquor smuggler and seized the IMFL. A team of STF and Rohtas police jointly launched vehicle checking drive near Parasiya petrol pump under Bhabhua police station. Meanwhile, a DCM truck from Uttar Pradesh was located and the police intercepted the truck. When searched, the police recovered 10792 bottles of IMFL kept under the earthen vessels in the truck.

The SDPO further said that during interrogation, the driver revealed that the consignment of IMFL was coming from Haryana and he was asked to take it to Patna from New Delhi and for it he was promised to be paid Rs. 25000.
