BHABHUA (RNI) Kaimur police recovered body of a woman and brought it to the Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police also arrested a youth in connection with the murder of woman and sent him to jail after interrogation.
Bhabua SDPO Shiv Shankar Kumar said that Safique Ansari of Ganagvalia village under Kudara police station in Kaimur district took his beloved to Manjhar Kund in Rohtas district for a stroll where he bought apple to eat and a knife to cut it into pieces. Later he slit throat of his beloved and killed her about 20 days ago. Later he hid the body somewhere in the forest of a hill.
Reportedly, the girl had come to Bhabhua with her cousin sister for her matriculation examination on February 17, 2024 whence she disappeared under mysterious circumstances. When she did not return home, her family members lodged an FIR with the police under Kudara police station in connection with missing of the girl. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and started investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the police traced the mobile of the girl that disclosed the name of the lover of the girl. The police arrested him who told the police during interrogation that both of them belonged to heterogeneous group. He took the girl at his rented house at Sasaram from Bhabhua on February 17, 2024 and later took her to Manjhar Kund on February 18, 2024 for stroll. He also told the police he killed the girl and threw the body in the forest of a hill near Manjharo Kund. The police recovered the body and clothes of the girl and the knife used in her murder. The police sent the body to Patna for DNA test.
