KAIMUR POLICE BUSTED ILLEGAL CIGARETTE FACTORY, SEIZED 2 LAKH PREPRED CIGARETTES AND MATERIALS USED IN MAKING THEM

Bhabhua, 18 July 2023, (RNI): Kaimur police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid at Biyari village under Chainpur police station in Kaimur district and busted an illegal cigarette factory. The police seized 20 lakh pieces prepared cigarettes, 5 quintals of tobacco, filters, wrappers, cells, slides, outers, papers, silver papers, gum and other articles used in making cigarettes, one Bolero, one pick-up van, one Tata Magic. The police also arrested nine persons Ram Jee 35 son of Shiv Narayan Dohe of Jajmuniya village under Rura police station in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Vijay Singh 25 son of Kripal Singh of Nagala Hasanpur Bajara under Kosikalan police station of district Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Sharma 58 son of late Sri Nath Sharma of Shivpur village under the same police station in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Prajapati 50 son of later Anju Prajapati of Kachhavan village under Chabndawat police station in Mirjapur in Uttar Pradesh, Kailash Prasad 40 son of Shitala Prasad, Sanjay Tiwari 40 son of Jagdamba Tiwari of Marudiha under Badagaon police station in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Siya Ram 40 son of Tapeshwari Yadav of Johadi under Dehat Kotwali police station in Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, Binod Kumar Yadav 30 son of Krip Shankar Yadav of Jiyuti village under Kotwali police station in Murjapur in Uttar Pradesh, Pravin Kumar 19 son of  Anokhelal Bansal of Loritkapur village under Jamo police station of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Kaimur SP Lalit Mohan Sharma, Kaimur said that the Kaimur SP on the confidential report, formed a police team under the Bhabhua DSP and directed to conduct raid at the illegal cigarette factory after confirmation of report. The police following the directives, conducted raid at the illegal Cigarette factory at Biyuri village under Chainpur police station and arrested nine producers red handed while making cigarettes and when the machine was running. The police also seized prepared cigarettes in heavy quantity and materials used in making cigarettes. The police also busted a warehouse two kilometer from the factory to store the prepared goods and materials there.
